Resource Description

Christmas first aid scenarios and task cards are a great way for your Life SKills and Special Education students to practice first aid skills and knowledge. The Christmas or Festive Season can be a time where accidents happen, and students can use their skills and knowledge to help friends and family to manage difficult situations if they do occur.

This set of 28 Festive Season themed scenarios allows students to discuss, plan and respond using their first aid skills. There are scenarios ranging from simple to complex, to suit a variety of skill levels.

Scenario types include:

  • nose bleed
  • fracture
  • loss of consciousness
  • anaphylaxis allergy
  • sprain and strain
  • burn
  • graze

Scenarios are culturally appropriate, with some scenarios which are relevant to students who may be celebrating festivals other than Christmas, such as Chanukah and Greek Orthodox Christmas. There are also some scenarios which are generic, and do not relate to a Christmas or festive activity.

Who is it for?

This resource will suit students with developing literacy skills who enjoy hands on, discussion based learning. It is ideal for Pathways, Life Skills and Transition Education students, and students learning in a specialist or inclusive education setting.
