Linked closely to the Design and Technologies Australian curriculum, this resource provides opportunities for Year 3 and 4 students to:
– explore the properties of materials including food and fibre;
– examine and practise safety procedures in Design and Technologies;
– study and critique designs around them and think about the purposes they serve;
– get hands-on creating, testing and reviewing their own designs.
When students indulge in practical activities they will work in small groups, take part in lively discussions and think critically and flexibly. The use of digital technologies to achieve outcomes is incorporated throughout this great resource.
