What is success? Students lament skewed focus on academic excellence: report

Although students might feel they are making great strides in their personal growth and maturity at school, an academically-skewed definition of success has left many feeling resentful and demoralised about their progress, a new student-led report has warned.

The way in which ATAR scales certain subjects was also unfair, students said, and caused them to err away from some subjects they were most interested in.
