‘Wasteful’: AEU slams Teach For Australia’s latest funding boost

The Federal Government has announced it will fund 475 new places for High Achieving Teachers in the controversial Teach For Australia Program to help funnel more educators into Australian schools – a move the teachers’ union has deemed ‘damaging for all concerned’.

Designed in part to plug staffing gaps in disadvantaged schools in rural and remote areas, the union suggest Teach for Australia has so far failed in its mission.
