The Victorian State Government recently announced that it intends to train 4000 early childhood educators during the next year to implement Respectful Relationships programs in preschools. Below, Dr Kevin Donnelly, Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Catholic University and author of Dumbing Down, gives his opinion on this hotly discussed issue. Following on, Associate Professor Debbie Ollis, senior lecturer at Deakin University and author of the Respectful Relationships curriculum for Victorian secondary schools, gives her response to Dr Donnelly's comments.
