Vic Govt MPs banned from schools by union

The Australian Education Union (AEU) is seeking to ban Victorian Labor MPs from visiting schools.

AEU Victorian Branch president Meredith Peace said visits from MPs to schools involve a significant amount of work for educators, which is often disregarded by politicians and the Education Department.

If state Labor MPs visit schools regardless, AEU members will stop work and protest.
