Underperforming NSW schools to face departmental intervention

NSW has scrapped its contentious Local Schools, Local Decisions (LSLD) policy and replaced it with a new model which emphasises “shared responsibility” between schools and the department.

Education minister Sarah Mitchell said that responsibility for student outcomes needs to be “shouldered by everyone”.
