Federal education minister Alan Tudge has responded to today’s Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) report, which he said supports the Government’s push for better student outcomes.
Only 16 per cent of Australian Year 4 students have a maths teacher with a major in primary education and mathematics, compared to the international average of 32 per cent.
