Teachers failing to address racism in the classroom: report

The vast majority of African Australian students have experienced discrimination at school, and most who complained say their teachers didn’t take the issue seriously.

Just over half of those who experienced discrimination said they reported the issue to a staff member, but 88 per cent said their complaint wasn’t taken seriously.

That’s according to a new survey by the Ubuntu Project.
