Structural failure: our school system continues to widen the equity gap
Strong evidence indicates that Australian education will need to undergo major structural reform if the growing inequity across the system is to be addressed, a new report by the UNSW’s Gonski Institute for Education has proposed.
“We keep saying that our school system promotes excellence and equity for all, but in overall terms it clearly doesn’t,” the Gonski Institute’s Professor Pasi Sahlberg said.
