Strict-sounding teachers have a detrimental effect on students’ wellbeing and are no better at controlling the classroom than their colleagues, according to a new UK study.
The researchers also that students with strict-sounding teachers were more likely to rebel and less likely to reveal they were facing problems such as bullying.
