Stakeholders react to tough new standards for ITE providers
Education Ministers have agreed to stringent new requirements for Initial Teacher Education providers, with those who fail to teach evidence-based practices at risk of losing their accreditation.
Providers will be required to educate students on the negative impacts of making instructional choices based on common ‘neuromyths’, including the ideas of multiple intelligences, left and right brain thinking, and learning styles.
