So why the STEM push?
STEM flows off the tongue as if we have been using acronym forever. But it is only in the last decade the New Zealand Government has really begun to encourage schools around the country to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to their students in the hope they will continue pursuing these fields when they enter tertiary education.
