Over 80 per cent of all students from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds attend Australian public schools. According to figures from Save Our Schools, public schools educate 84 per cent of Australia’s Indigenous students, 87 per cent of students in very remote areas, and 76 per cent of students with a disability.
