Questions raised over "sudden death" teacher test
The LANTITE (Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education) is under fire from furious former teaching students, with several threatening lawsuits after being forced to graduate with tens of thousands of dollars in student debt and no teaching degree to show for it.
Prospective teachers are given three attempts to pass the LANTITE. Under exceptional circumstances, universities can support up to an additional two test attempts.
