President of the Special Education Principals Association New Zealand since 2012 Graeme Daniel has a vision – that one day, the word “special” will be taken out of special education. MICHELLE CURRAN chats with the principal of Allenvale School, part of the special education network provision for the Canterbury region, about his advocacy for the inclusion of students with disabilities in the community and for quality education, and how he aims to achieve this in his role as president of SEPANZ.
