Poverty still affecting children's education: NZEI

Poverty in this country is still one of the primary reasons that children are not thriving in schools and centres, according to primary teachers' and principals' union, NZEI Te Riu Roa.

The sentiment comes as the Child Poverty Reduction Bill was today read for the second time in Parliament.
