Phonics advocate Jennifer Buckingham recognised with OAM

Leading phonics advocate and MultiLit director of strategy and senior research fellow Jennifer Buckingham has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for her services to education research and literacy.

Buckingham said that attitudes towards phonics instruction have changed significantly since she began working in the area.

Buckingham told EducationHQ that it was very flattering to be recognised with an OAM.
