New South Wales Education Minister Prue Car has promised to overhaul the state’s controversial suspension and behaviour policies by the end of the year.

The Government was placed under additional pressure to scrap the suspension policy after Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research data revealed a significant rise in school assaults over the last decade.
