'Not about indoctrination': call for nation-building, Western values in curriculum

While the Australian Curriculum does a "good job" of respecting Indigenous cultures and traditions, it fails all students by not adequately speaking to our Western intellectual and cultural heritage, a new paper has argued.

Dr Fiona Mueller from the Centre for Independent Studies (CIS) contends that a nation building theme should be used as a cohesive strain across the curriculum as a matter of urgency.
