Norfolk Island school prepares for transition to Education Queensland

From January 1, Norfolk Island Central School will come under the jurisdiction of Education Queensland, ending more than 100 years of association with the NSW Department of Education.

Norfolk Island Central School was established in 1906 under an agreement between the NSW Department of Education and the Norfolk Island Administration.

It was announced in October that the Queensland Government would assume control of Norfolk Island services.
