New online course helping primary educators confidently teach PE

A free online program for primary teachers aiming to encourage a lifelong engagement in sport and physical activity has been launched, providing a much-needed boost to the provision of physical education in schools nationwide.

Sporting Schools program manager Matthew Turnbull says the new course has drawn on a range of stakeholders, including phys ed teachers and sports and recreation academics, to fashion a 2.5-hour online course designed to support teachers to confidently take on the subject area.
