New initiative aims to increase sextortion support and advice for young people
Teachers, parents and students are being better equipped to protect young people from the growing threat of sextortion with the upcoming release of new educational resources, targeting 13-17 year-olds online with safety messages and advice.
“We are committed to working with the broader industry to ensure we can help educate young people about the risk of sharing these images and to stop the spread of these images on our platforms,” Meta’s Regional Policy Director, Mia Garlick says.
