NDIS ‘can’t be surrogate school system’: minister hints at autism changes
A child's diagnosis of autism is unlikely to be enough to guarantee future access to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), according to the minister responsible for the funding provider.
“I don’t think the scheme was ever intended just to say, ‘I have a diagnosis, therefore I’m on the scheme’,” Shorten says.
