‘Misrepresentation and an absurd overreach’: experts slam ‘politicisation’ of ITE

The Federal Government’s major reforms to initial teacher education have been deemed an “absurd overreach” that amount to a “politicisation of higher education” by some in the tertiary sector.

While some are critical of the Teacher Education Expert Panel's proposed changes to ITE, as a 'gross overextension of influence', others like Pamela Snow have backed the reforms and the ramped up accountability facing providers.
