Making your own musical instrument in class

Many younger students enjoy the fun and challenge involved in making their own musical instruments as part of a general classroom or science activity, but the process of designing and building instruments is often overlooked as something which can also be relevant and appropriate for older students.

Musical instruments can typically be arranged into one of four categories – woodwind, brass, percussion and string.
