History prize gains nearly $1m funding

A long-running history prize will get nearly $1 million in funding, giving more high school students an opportunity to tour key wartime battlefields.

Students in years 9 and 10 are eligible for the prize, which recognises an outstanding essay on a question about the contribution of Australians during World War I.
