'High levels of anxiety': Careers education limiting girls' horizons

Experts have called for an overhaul of careers education in schools, after research found girls’ career choices were overshadowed by anxiety and limited by perceptions of prestige and security.

Overall, young women’s career preferences 'appeared misaligned' with the nature of current employment markets and work profiles, the study concluded.
