Too many teachers fall into the trap of attempting to ‘win’ students over as a means of weeding out poor behaviour, without recognising the potent power of high-impact instruction, one expert has said.
Hammond says good behaviour has to be taught and routines must be established and repeated. Add high impact instruction into the mix, and opportunities for misbehaviour are effectively squashed.
