A survey of secondary school principals has found that 16 per cent are experiencing high levels of psychological distress, almost double the rate reported by employees in other fields.
The top three work challenges reported by principals in the SPANZ survey were having to neglect tasks because they're too busy to complete them, the lack of a manager to help with a work problem and unkind words or behaviour.
