With body dissatisfaction and the prevalence of eating disorders disturbingly on the rise in children, South Australian researchers say a new classroom program is showing potential as a powerful national prevention tool in schools.
Currently being piloted in 20 schools across SA and Queensland, the Embrace Kids Classroom Program is aligned to the curriculum and taps into three core messages that work to correct negative and harmful ideas children can absorb about their bodies.
