If we want world leading educational institutions, we need brave, bold and inspirational teachers and leaders who are so clear in their purpose and their vocational conviction that they develop their own jazz philosophy of education.
‘Anarchist educator’ Phil Beadle was awarded UK Teacher of the Year in 2004. He was a standout on the UK TV series The Unteachables (screened here on the ABC), as the rock and roll teacher who was able to capture the attention and the minds of the show’s eponymous students and seemingly convert them overnight into educational success stories.
