Teachers want and need a stronger voice in policy discussion, with new research finding seven out of ten don’t feel respected or appreciated for their work.
Almost half of comments that noted barriers to teachers’ sense of appreciation flagged “unsupportive”, “unrealistic”, “disrespectful” and “demanding” parents.
