Laura Bain was outraged. Having just prompted an AI tool to generate images of ‘a good teacher surrounded by students’, four scholarly-looking white males with beards had been spat out.
“We need to actually be teaching [children] to be safe with [AI tools], so schools that are avoiding it or saying ‘it’s not an issue in our school’, that head-in-the-sand mentality is hurting our kids,” Bain says.
