'A big wow factor': Former pilot takes school aerospace program to new heights

Developing and rolling out an innovative aerospace curriculum has won high school teacher Nicholas Gates a 2022 TEACHX award from the Queensland College of Teachers.

“The strength of the program is building students’ resilience. They know that failure is OK,” Gates says.

This year the award attracted more than 2000 nominations.
