I can safely say, John Dewey's dream has come true. He wanted this hands-on minds-on learning curriculum ( STEAM / STEM ) a century ago. All we need now is to let the 'bored to death' dexterous kids know about that learning does take place outside the textbooks ( which usually are reprints of 20 -50 years old material). I have been burning the candle at both ends for STEM education and Project Based Learning for many years and now have been contracted by the Auckland City council to run day-long workshops on Robotics/ STEM in several libraries for the dexterous kids who normally shy away from books. I would love to visit the facilities and wish to be involved in many ways if an opportunity arrives.
