About the Role
As the Youth Support Coordinator you will work closely with students, families, and staff to provide targeted support, remove barriers to learning, and foster a safe, inclusive, and connected school environment.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to
- Build relationships with families of disengaged students to provide early intervention
- Follow up on student wellbeing referrals for all year levels in consultation with the Guidance Officers
- Monitor student attendance/truancy and provide early intervention through stakeholders
- Organise and facilitate lunch time activities
- Develop and deliver programs that support students social and emotional wellbeing across all year levels
- Facilitate student check-ins
- Provide in-class support
- Present at year level assemblies
- Refer students and families to external support agencies Be a visible presence during break times by interacting with students
- Be visible presence during break times by interacting with students
- Other duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed
