About our School: 

Clifton State High School is a small, rural, co-educational secondary school located between Toowoomba and Warwick offering enrolment in years 7 to 12. The school offers a wide variety of opportunities for all students. There are a broad range of subject choices and extra curricula activities. We are extremely proud of our successful Cattle Team, Agricultural Operations, Instrumental Music Group and Pathways program. About the Role:

As the Youth Support Coordinator, you will:

  • Provide a high level of support to students to overcome barriers and maximise engagement within education.
  • Provide individual support, case management and, where appropriate, group support to students to maximise their engagement with education and training.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain records of student contact on a daily basis.
  • Support students to achieve satisfactory learning outcomes.
  • Develop relationships between school and families to assist at risk students to remain engaged with their education.
  • Monitor attendance patterns of students or groups of students in accordance with the school's attendance plan.
  • Be part of the professional support team within our school.
  • Liaise with welfare agencies and other government departments.
  • Be actively involved in the schools breakfast club program.
  • Develop and implement programs to support social and emotional wellbeing.
