Location: LancasterPosition: Part-time (5 days a week)Hours: 8:50 AM - 1:15 PM

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Year 6 Maths Learning Mentor to provide high-level support and behaviour management in our school. This role involves working closely with students to enhance their understanding of maths and effectively manage challenging behaviours across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-level support in Year 6 maths, ensuring students grasp key concepts.
  • Act as a learning mentor, providing tailored assistance to students with diverse needs.
  • Manage challenging behaviour effectively throughout the school day.
  • Lead and manage play during playtimes and lunchtimes, promoting positive interactions and engagement (not just supervision).
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.
  • Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and confidence in delivering high-level Year 6 maths.
  • Experience working with children, particularly in behaviour support or mentoring roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively across all age ranges.
