We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Year 3 Behaviour/Emotional Support Assistant to join our team. This role focuses on providing one-to-one support to a child, helping to manage emotional and behavioural challenges while fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a Year 3 student, focusing on behaviour and emotional needs.
  • Lead and manage play during playtimes and lunchtimes, ensuring positive engagement and interaction (not just supervision).
  • Diffuse challenging behaviour using effective strategies and techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor progress and adapt support as needed.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes emotional well-being.

    • Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly in behaviour or emotional support roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and diffuse challenging behaviour.
  • A compassionate approach to supporting children's emotional needs.
