Veritas Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Nelson to recruit a passionate Year 1 Teacher for a full-time, fixed-term position starting in January 2027.

The Role

Plan and deliver engaging Year 1 lessonsCreate a positive, purposeful and inclusive classroomSet high expectations for learning and behaviourAdapt teaching to meet individual needs, including SENDBuild strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleaguesTrack and support pupil progressWork collaboratively with the wider school team

We're Looking For

QTS or equivalent teaching qualificationExperience teaching in Key Stage 1Strong classroom management skillsA creative and engaging approach to learningHigh expectations of all pupilsExcellent communication and teamwork skills
