Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Workplace Health and Safety Officer to join our small, close-knit school community. This rewarding position involves ensuring safe work practices during and after school hours, in compliance with Brisbane Catholic Education regulations.
You will have:
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.
- Ensure compliance with all mandatory Brisbane Catholic Education regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the Principal, groundsman, and cleaning staff to maintain a safe school environment.
- Provide training and support to staff on health and safety practices.
- Investigate and report on incidents and accidents and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance activities.
- Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing within the school community.
