Salary level, range or hourly rate: School officer level 3 $32.21 per hour; plus WHS allowance (if training is complete) $23.61 per week(School Salary Scale)/(Services Salary Scale)

About the Role - We are seeking a person to oversee the implementation of the Health and Safety Work Management Systems (HSWMS) at St Brendans, including:

  • Implementing communication and consultation initiatives, and awareness of WHS requirements
  • Assisting in the investigation of HSW issues or incidents for St Brendans
  • Assisting in the development and review of Health and Safety requirements and associated documentation for their school or office
  • Consulting with management and stakeholders on their schools (or office) WHS performance
  • Assisting in the identification and management of risk
  • Assisting in health and safety consultation activities
  • Conducting and assisting workers to conduct regular health and safety inspections and risk assessments
  • Investigating health and safety incidents and dangerous events to prevent recurrence.


To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
