About the School:
Established in 1960, Trinity Bay State High School has developed a tradition of excellence in teaching and learning. Our school provides a secondary education for both boys and girls from years 7 to 12. About the Role:
This role will oversee and enhance the delivery of Vocational Education and Training (VET) within our school. This position is part of our Senior Schooling team and reports directly to the Head of Senior Schooling and/or the Deputy Principal.
This position is a Temporary, Part-time role, 36.25hrs per fortnight, plus ADO (0.50FTE), from 20 January 2025 to 12 December 2025 unless otherwise determined. The working hours for this role are flexible and can be negotiated to suit both the needs of the school and the successful candidate.
As the Vocational Education Coordinator you will:
- Manage the operational requirements of the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) structure of the School ensuring policy and procedures comply with the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Quality Framework (VQF) and National VET Regulation (NVR) Standards.
- Coordinate Vocational Education and Career Pathways ensuring that all Year 10, 11 and 12 students are assisted in accessing case management support to successfully transition from schooling to either further education, training or sustainable employment.
Responsibilities include:
- Promote VET opportunities to students, monitor qualification completion, and provide data to internal and external reporting bodies.
- Monitor resourcing of VET Tutorials, engagement of students, and staff capability/capacity.
- Maintain RTO compliance ensuring that all RTO requirements meet standards.
- Facilitate additions and changes to the Scope of Registration.
- Oversee VET teacher profiles, meetings and professional development, ensuring industry currency/experience is achieved.
- Partner with external RTOs to provide certificate courses.
- Contribute to Senior Schooling strategic focus areas, such as QCE Attainment.
