About CECG’s Virtual Learning Program

In 2023, Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra Goulburn (CECG) introduced Virtual Learning courses for Year 11 and Year 12 students across the ACT and NSW. This initiative has been revolutionary for our students and their families, particularly those in regional towns. The program currently includes Biology and Business Studies (taught at McAuley College, Temora), Economics (taught at Lumen Christi College, Pambula) and Maths Specialist (taught at Merici College, Braddon), as well as Italian and Korean. CECG hopes to expand this program over the coming years.

About the Role

CECG is seeking Year 11 and Year 12 teachers who want to transform how students learn by delivering quality online courses. As a Virtual Learning Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing school virtual learning opportunities for senior College students so that our students are offered every opportunity for success in their learning while living at home with their families.

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching or equivalent.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and/or Working with Children's Check (WWCC) registration.
  • Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) registration and/or NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.
  • Experience teaching HSC is desirable. 

Other Eligibility Criteria 

  • You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position. 
  • Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.
