About the role -
As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will:

About you -
To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience Specialising in Primary Education as well as:
  • Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
  • Commitment to child safety
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven organisational skills
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.

At BCE our teachers are required to:
  • Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
  • Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
  • Have a commitment to Safeguarding

Star of the Sea Primary School opened in 2009 and is located in a unique setting beside Moreton Bay and overlooking Stradbroke Island. Our school has an approximate enrolment of 170 students from Prep - Year 6. Star of the Sea School offers contemporary learning environments that support high quality learning that is student-centred. If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.
We support all teachers with Accreditation to Teach pathways after you start with us.
