About the role: the suitable candidate will proactively manage the day-to-day operation of the school tuckshop including, but not limited to, opening and closing the tuckshop; maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace in line with food safety standards; organise and oversee tuckshop volunteers; purchasing of stock; preparation of food, and the management of food orders via the QKR software package.
The role includes 2 x 6 hour days on Thursday and Friday which are the tuck shop days and 3 hours is for administration including ordering.
You must demonstrate:
- An ability to lead, plan, organise and control the day-today operations of the tuckshop, with minimal supervision
- Commitment to completing any food safety training as required
- Relevant experience in food service and knowledge of the nutritional requirements of school-aged children
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, initiative, and enthusiasm
- Ability to demonstrate excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in using QKR software package is desirable, but not compulsory.
