Finance Assistants - School Support (Bradford & Keighley) £13.50 per hour | Full-Time, Term-Time | Immediate Start | Temporary Ongoing

Veritas Education is currently recruiting Temporary Finance Assistants to support schools across the Bradford and Keighley areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a background in accounts or finance administration who are looking to work in a rewarding and community-focused environment. We work with schools who look for short term and longer term support on a temporary basis.

We are looking for candidates who are confident with basic finance tasks and comfortable working in busy school offices. While previous experience in a school setting is desirable, it is not essential - we welcome applications from finance professionals who are quick to adapt and eager to contribute to the smooth running of school operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting school finance teams with day-to-day financial administration
  • Processing invoices and purchase orders
  • Managing petty cash and assisting with budget tracking
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with school policies
  • Liaising with staff and external suppliers as needed

    • Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in accounts, finance administration, or similar roles
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • A DBS on the update service would be advantageous
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach
  • Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Experience in school finance systems (e.g. SIMS, FMS) is a bonus but not required
  • Available to start immediately and commit to full-time temporary, term-time hours
