About the Role:
The Customer Insights and Advice (CI&A) team in Education Systems Engagement provides evidence-based customer insights into decision making about digital technologies and supports IT and training services and events.
The role is based at the Digital Futures Hub (DFH), Sippy Downs, Qld, and works as part of the Customer Insights and Advice (CI&A) team which is located in Brisbane. In this role you will:
- Provide technical support and resolve issues for training activities and events.
- Provide expert technical advice about IT used in schools.
- Provide technical advice and analysis on emerging technologies as they are used in schools, and in the investigation of IT problems in schools
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing technical expertise, support and event coordination at the DFH.
- Contribute technical expertise to investigations into emerging technologies and the development of innovative solutions for the use of IT in schools.
- Actively respond to requests for advice and support orally, online and in writing as appropriate.
- Actively participate in the business processes of the team including investigations, technical testing, research and prototyping.

About You:
- Competencies as listed in the role description including a clear vision of the potential and issues of emerging technologies in schools, the ability to deliver results in technical support and investigations and accountability for applying and growing your own knowledge and skills to deliver in the role.
- You should have or be able rapidly to acquire sound technical and operational understanding of IT in schools, be able to analyse and resolve issues and undertake technical investigation of current and emerging technologies.
- Experience providing or leading IT support in a Qld state school setting would be well regarded.
- As the role is located separately from the rest of the team, you will need to be self-reliant, motivated and able to work with at-distance supervision.
