Technical Assessor - Fabrication & Welding

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a leading North East training provider to recruit a Technical Assessor specialising in Fabrication & Welding.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industry professional to support apprentices through their learning journey, delivering training, carrying out workplace assessments, conducting learner reviews, and working closely with employers to ensure successful completion of qualifications and apprenticeship standards.

The Role:

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Based in Newcastle
  • Salary: £32,028 - £42,109 per annum
  • Assess and support apprentices in Fabrication and Welding
  • Conduct workplace visits and learner reviews
  • Maintain learner records and e-portfolio systems
  • Liaise with employers and awarding organisations
  • Support learners towards End Point Assessment achievement
  • Requirements:

  • Strong background in Fabrication and Welding
  • Industry-recognised qualification in a relevant subject
  • Post-16 teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve)
  • Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
  • Experience supporting apprentices or learners is desirable
  • Enhanced DBS required
